Student Assistance Coordinator

Our mission is to provide every student with a safe, confidential, haven in which the student may interact with an experienced counseling professional. The Student Assistance Counseling process is not about giving advice. Rather, it is a process where a counselor and a student can explore issues and work together to develop healthy and effective coping skills. The Student Assistance Counselor’s role is not limited to addressing drug and alcohol issues, stress, bullying, school-related problems, eating disorders, cutting and self-mutilation and any other problems.

Student Assistance Counseling is a process where you can meet with a professional counselor to discuss any problem that you may be dealing with.

Counseling is not always about getting advice. Rather, it is a process where you and a counselor can explore issues and work together to develop healthy and effective coping skills.

Student Assistance Counseling is free. Meetings are arranged based on mutually convenient times during the school day. Students may drop in.

Student Assistance Counseling is confidential. You can expect that what you talk about with the Student Assistance Counselor remains confidential. Unless you are being abused, or there is immediate danger to yourself or others, what you talk about with the counselor stays private.

Student Assistance Counseling is totally voluntary. Only you will decide if SAC is for you.
