Coach Bork Goes 2-for-2.

Congratulations, Coach Borkowski! Joe Borkowski continues to raise the standard for his programs.

In October 2025, he was named a Mid-Season Top Football Coach in the state by NJ.com after leading the Hoboken Redwings to a remarkable turnaround. In just his second season, he took the team from a 3-6 record in 2024 to a dominant 9-1 finish in 2025, with an undefeated regular season. This marks the program’s best performance since 2005.

The Redwings opened the 2025 season with a 7-0 start and went on to secure the regular season title behind a high-powered offense, disciplined defense, and a strong, team-first culture.

Most recently, Borkowski also earned HCIAL Girls Basketball Coach of the Year honors from NJ.com.

In his first season leading the program, he guided Hoboken to a 17-8 record and a 5-1 mark in the National Division after the team went 7-15 the year prior.

The team made history by reaching the Hudson County Tournament semifinals for the first time and added two wins over Union City from the Group 4 ranks, including at the county tournament.

A culture builder and proven leader across multiple programs. Coach Borkowski is the kind of leader who changes more than just the scoreboard, he changes the culture. His ability to bring out the best in his players, build trust, and create a true team-first environment sets him apart. Whether it’s turning around a football program or guiding a basketball team to new heights, he leads with consistency, discipline, and genuine care for his athletes.
