Hoboken High School Senior Morgan Walia-Peters Develops Smart Insoles for Alzheimer’s Detection

HOBOKEN, NJ - A Hoboken High School Senior is hoping to contribute to Alzheimer’s research by developing an insole for shoes that could help detect early signs of cognitive decline.
Morgan Walia-Peters, who was selected for the 2024 class of Governor’s STEM Scholars, is part of a statewide initiative aimed at retaining STEM in New Jersey by providing networking, research, and career development opportunities for high-achieving students from 10th grade through the doctorate level.
