Hoboken High School Junior Maxim Schissler Selected for Prestigious United States Air Force AIM Higher Scholarship Program
Maxim is the 1st Hoboken HS Student to receive this honor.
HOBOKEN, NJ – Hoboken High School proudly congratulates Maxim Schissler, a junior, for being selected to participate in the esteemed United States Air Force AIM Higher Scholarship Program. This prestigious opportunity, offered through the Aim High Flight Academy (AHFA), provides high school students and Air Force cadets with an introductory flight experience, inspiring the next generation of aviators and leaders.
As a participant in the program, Maxim will receive up to 15 flight hours of hands-on training, along with housing, meals, and transportation to and from the training site. The program includes classroom instruction and flight simulator training, providing a strong foundation in aviation. Additionally, Maxim will benefit from mentorship by experienced Air Force aviators, career briefings, base tours, and orientation flights, all designed to offer real-world aviation experience and insight into potential career paths.

This highly competitive program is open to high school students, U.S. Air Force Academy and ROTC cadets, and individuals passionate about aviation. To be eligible for the AIM Higher Scholarship Program, applicants must be at least 16 years old and currently enrolled in high school or be a graduating senior. Students must also maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have no more than five powered flight hours prior to applying.

Maxim’s participation in the AIM Higher Scholarship Program will not only enhance his aviation skills but also provide him with mentorship and career insights from experienced Air Force professionals.
