Hoboken High School Invites Prospective Students and Families to Explore the Redwing Experience
Choosing a high school is a big decision, and the best way to make that choice is to see a school for yourself.
This fall and throughout the school year, Hoboken High School is inviting prospective students and families to learn more about what makes the Redwing community unique. Whether you're interested in hearing directly from students, exploring classrooms and programs, or talking with school leaders, there are several opportunities to get an authentic feel for life at HHS.
1. Hear From the Students: Redwings Student Panel
The first opportunity is the Redwings Student Panel on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in Room 218 at Hoboken High School.
There's no better way to learn about a school than from the students who experience it every day.
Current Redwings will share their perspectives on academics, athletics, extracurricular activities, school traditions, community service, and everyday student life. Families will have the opportunity to ask questions and hear honest insights about what it's really like to be part of the HHS community.
For students considering Hoboken High School, this event offers a chance to connect with peers and gain a firsthand look at the opportunities that await them.
2. See the School in Action: Open House & Showcase of Excellence
Families are also invited to attend the Hoboken High School Open House & Showcase of Excellence on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
This event provides an opportunity to walk through the school, meet teachers and students, visit classrooms, and explore the many programs available at HHS.
Visitors can learn about:
More than 24 AP courses
25 athletic teams
Dual-enrollment opportunities
The AVID program
International travel experiences
Specialized aviation, innovation technology, and business labs
Performing arts, student leadership programs, clubs, and activities
Families will also have the opportunity to participate in sample lessons from AP World History, Pre-AP English 1, and Pre-AP Biology, offering a glimpse into the classroom experience at HHS.
The evening will begin with a presentation by Principal Robin Piccapietra at 6:00 p.m. in the Hoboken High School Auditorium, where families will learn more about the school's academic offerings, student opportunities, and vision for the future.
More than an open house, the Showcase of Excellence is a chance to experience the energy, culture, and spirit of the Redwing community firsthand.
3. Stay Connected: Parent Information Meetings
For families who would like to continue the conversation, Hoboken High School will also host a series of Parent Information Meetings throughout the year:
Tuesday, November 17, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, January 13, 2027 at 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, March 10, 2027 at 6:00 p.m.
These smaller meetings provide families with an opportunity to learn more about the school, hear updates, ask questions, and connect directly with school leadership.
They are especially helpful for families who may still be exploring their options and want additional opportunities to learn more about the programs, people, and experiences that make Hoboken High School special.
