Drama Performance to be Simulcast Internationally
On Friday April 28th, Hoboken High School’s award winning Drama Department achieved yet another milestone, this time live-streaming a performance internationally!

Advanced Theater students at HHS performed the staged reading of the play Fortune, it was simulcast to a live audience in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, Canada, where much of the play takes place. Fortune follows the inspirational life of Rose Fortune, a Black Loyalist from Annapolis Royal in the 1800s. A special audience question and answer session with the author, director, and cast was held following the reading.

In addition to performing, HHS students also directed, produced, advertised, and created the props, sets, and sound effects for the reading.

The proceeds from the event benefitted both the Hoboken High School Theater Department, as well as those in need in Annapolis Royal.
