The Theatre Department at Hoboken High School is seeking donations from individuals or local businesses for our trip to The International Thespians Festival at Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana. ITF is a weeklong immersion in theatre arts designed specifically for high-achieving high school drama students and their teachers. Setting the standard for participatory educational theatre experiences, the International Thespians Festival broadens horizons, enriches learning and celebrates the creativity of theatre. Students can select from hundreds of rigorous and engaging workshops taught by experts in their field. Topics include acting and performing, lighting, sets, sound, makeup, costume design, costume construction, directing, stage management, dance and playwriting. Our students will also get to compete against the best theatre students in the world in categories of monologues, scenes and group musical theatre.
This year our students won Top (9) Best High School Productions from around the world. This means we earned a Main Stage Performance at The International Thespians Festival. This trip consists of a 6 nights’ stay, 3 meals per day and all activities/workshops/shows. The dates of this trip are June 23rd-29th 2024. The cost of the trip is funded, in part, by the district, however there are additional expenses incurred due to the Into the Woods production being put back together and taken on the road to Indiana.
Donations can be made using this portal for payment https://hhsnj.booktix.net/ or by dropping off a check made out of “Hoboken High School Drama Club” at Hoboken High School. Please email Danielle Miller at [email protected] and provide your company logo. We would like to make Into the Woods Main Stage production shirts with our sponsor's logos printed on them. We will then personally bring or mail a show shirt to you as a token of our appreciation.
